YOGA COURSE MONDAY EVENING

Meet the art of transformative yoga

YOGA COURSE IN EARLY 2023

Yoga means “oneness. Age-old yoga tools such as postures, breathing, meditations, mantras and sounds are designed to allow you to “aligne” yourself more fully with your essence. Like peeling an onion, you thus gradually release more and more of the energy, feeling, thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve you. In Roy Wenting’s transformative yoga, you learn to develop self-mastery so you can use simple techniques to be more at one with yourself. The early 2023 course consists of 12 Monday evenings, each with a different in-depth theme. You will undergo a set of yoga techniques, meditations and deep relaxation each evening.

TRANSFORMATIVE YOGA

PEACE, FOCUS, BALANCE, RESILIENCE AND EQUILIBRIUM

Transformative yoga works holistically, or all-encompassing. In fact, yoga goes far beyond the modern relaxing body stretches you see in many a gym. Yoga has been around for thousands of years. During transformative yoga, you learn to go back to how yoga was originally intended. You learn not only how to properly hold an “asana” (yoga pose) physically, but also how this pose can affect you energetically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. With that, you learn to find the meditation in each yoga pose, which therefore also lasts a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 10 minutes. These long meditative postures allow your body, nervous system and subtle bodies (energy, emotions, thoughts) to release optimally. And that brings real deep relaxation. Beyond thinking and feeling. Being Pure. The combination of the theoretical explanation before you start on the mat, in-depth ‘pranayama’ (breathing techniques), mantras, ‘yoga nidra’ (deep relaxation), use of music and explanation of application in daily life makes this form of yoga unique in the Netherlands and Europe. This form of yoga was developed by Roy Wenting who was trained and inspired by several yoga masters in Thailand and India since 2006. Due to its slow and meditative nature, the yoga form is very accessible to beginners as well as advanced yoga practitioners.
